Mendes underwear poster heats up the Big Apple
Eva Mendes is causing something of a stir in New York. An enormous poster in downtown for Calvin Klein shows the film star sprawled in sexy lingerie as she gropes a manly stud who reclines in a compromising position. Protest groups claim that the poster is tantamount to pornography and not appropriate for such public display.
The giant ad takes up the whole side of a building at the junction of Lafayette and Houston streets in the Soho area and local residents say they want it removed.
Mendes counters that those getting hot under the collar over the ad have religious motives for not enjoying a larger than life rendition of her in her underwear.
Mendes has modeled for Calvin Klein underwear in the past and as these pictures show, she can get a lot more raunchy than the current controversial poster.



It has been a troubling time for Mendes and her undergarments. A recent TV ad for Calvin Klein's Secret Obsession perfume featuring the star rated too sexy for television. That commercial saw the sultry 35-year-old rolling around on a bed wrapped only in a sheet when she inadvertently gave the camera a glimpse of her exposed and prominent nipple.

All eyes were on Heidi Klum who took to the catwalk just six weeks after giving birth.

The flirtatious potential of the aptly named 'Find Me If You Can' lingerie as the woman leads her admirer on a chase is ripe with potential.
The GPS, woven into the fabric of the bodice enables tracking the wearer at any time of the day of night.




Designer Lucia Lorio’s claims the lingerie is aimed at the modern woman living in a world of technology however others claim it is a high-tech version of a chastity belt.



Lorio counters that the woman can always turn the device off, or for that matter, slip into an alternative set of lingerie. Alternatively, the lingerie could be seen as a safety precaution in that shows where the wearer is and if she might have fallen into danger.
However, keeping track of your lady isn't cheap. The lingerie sets run from $800 to a whopping $1650 and so far sales have been slow.
